If you use AIFaceSwap.io for occasional photo swaps, a Windows download may be more than you need. If you are editing long recordings or want to process videos on your own PC, ClapClip is worth trying.

We make ClapClip. This comparison covers the workflows and published terms checked on September 16, 2026. We have not run a controlled image-quality or speed test against AIFaceSwap.io.

AIFaceSwap.io lists these tools on its video page and pricing page. Its batch video page describes uploading several videos together. Check those pages for current limits before purchasing.

For a quick photo, start in the browser

AIFaceSwap.io already offers a free photo workflow. Its pricing page lists 100 daily photo swaps for visitors and unlimited photo swaps for registered users at the time of writing.

You can also try ClapClip's online photo tool with your own images. Check the credit balance and the cost shown before generating. The online tool sends images or detected face crops to a processing service; it is separate from local desktop editing.

Try the same two photos in both tools. Look at the eyes, hairline and jaw, especially where the lighting changes. Choose based on the result you can actually use.

For long videos, try a short section locally

ClapClip's long video workflow runs on Windows. You open the footage from your PC, choose a source face and inspect the preview before exporting. You do not need to upload the video.

Start with a section that includes head turns or a hand crossing the face. Then check a quieter section. This gives you a better picture of the result than a single frame. Export time depends on your GPU, resolution and settings.

The desktop app is free to download. Export requires a purchase in the app, so check the preview and current price before buying.

For a batch, check one file before adding the rest

Both products offer batch workflows. The practical difference is where the work happens: AIFaceSwap.io accepts uploads, while ClapClip processes desktop files on your PC.

With ClapClip batch face swap, test one representative file first. Check the face selection and output before processing the rest. Leave enough disk space for the exported files.

Which one fits your setup?

Stay with a browser workflow if you want to edit from a phone or avoid installing software. Try ClapClip's Windows app if local video processing, previews and repeated edits matter to you. The desktop version offered here supports Windows 10 and 11.

Is ClapClip a free AIFaceSwap.io alternative?

ClapClip has an online photo tool with credits and a free desktop download. Desktop exports require an in-app purchase. Check each workflow's current cost rather than assuming the download includes free exports.

Can I use ClapClip without uploading my video?

Yes. Use the local face swap workflow in the Windows app. The website's online photo tool uses server processing.

Does ClapClip produce better results?

That needs a comparison on your footage. Use the same source face and scene, inspect motion as well as still frames, and compare the exported result at the same resolution. You can see ClapClip examples before trying your own files.

Free download. Export requires a purchase inside the app.
